PM leaves London for home

Wrapping up her six-day visit to the United Kingdom (UK), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left here for home on Wednesday afternoon.
A VVIP flight (BG-016) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from HeathrowInternationalAirport at 6:15 pm (local time).
Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Md Abdul Hannan saw the Prime Minister off at the airport.
The flight is scheduled to reach OsmaniInternationalAirport in Sylhet at 9:30 am (BST) on Thursday.
After making a one-hour stopover at the OsmaniInternationalAirport, it will fly for HazratShahjalalInternationalAirport in Dhaka. The flight will land at the Dhaka airport at 11:10 am (BST).
During her stay in the British capital, the Prime Minister was accorded a civic reception by the UK Chapter Awami League at the Park LaneHotel on June 14.She also joined a reception hosted by Chairman of All Party Parliamentary Group on Bangladesh Keith Vaz at the UK Chapter Office of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) in the British Parliament on June 15.
Sheikh Hasina visited the British Parliament on June 16 and listened to the maiden speech of her niece and Labour Party MP Tulip Rezwana Siddique at the House of Commons.
She also met House of Lords Speaker Baroness D' Souza on the same day.
